What grinds my gears.

For the few that read this blog I'm sure you've come to realize this isn't your typical 'study abroad blog' mainly due to the fact that I'm not your typical... anything. With that being said here is the tidbit for today....

The main thing I hate: Not having my core group of peeps at my disposal that know me best.

The main thing I love: No one knows my story, which means I have no lingering doubt as to why someone wants to know me. Here no one can pity you. Here YOU are worth your true worth and not the worth of someone's pity for what you're "going through." I love it!

These two things somewhat clash with one another because on one hand I hate not having the closeness here that I have in my relationships back home, but in the same breath I love how no one here knows me and everything that has happened in my life, which makes me feel comfortable with everyone I meet because I know that they have no hidden agenda and I know they have no pity for me, because honestly I'd rather you be my worst enemy than be someone that talks to me or is only my 'friend' out of pity. That shit grinds my gears.

What doesn't grind my gears while in Rome? A fiesta, sharks, and cool junk...
