"I'm here for a good not a long time"- Childish Gambino

It is unreal how amazing everything here is. Everything about this city is like something from a movie or a dream. And everything about my experience here is the same way. It's almost too good to be true. This is not to say life and all of the things in it have suddenly stopped. Life is still around and effecting me, but it is oh so wonderful to have this change of scene. To be able to step to the side and remove myself from the situation is the exact reason I came here in the first place and for this purpose to be served is the greatest thing. ANYWAYS enough of the #deepeness. On to the next one...

This song is sickness. It is originally by this girl Adele who has an awesome voice. It is remixed by Jamie xx. And it is taken home by Childish Gambino. The 2:44 mark is where things get filthy, dirty, sick, dope, awesome, swell, ill, bad, good, amazing, and just downright cool. (WARNING: THIS SONG DOES CONTAIN WHAT SOME MAY CONSIDER CRUEL/OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE)

My Saturday in a wrap: Went out the night before for John's birthday and me and John stayed at a friends place (we went hard... I did it for you Mr. Tyler). I wake up around 12pm after being up till 5:30am the night before and begin walking home. As I get back I see Rex and he tells me that they're about to go check out Rome, so I change and hit the road with them. We get to the Pantheon and I whip out my camera to snag some pics and realize I forgot my battery #mylifeisruined. So, I just soak it in. That thing is stinking jumbo beyond imagination. It's "sacred" or some junk so you're supposed to adhere to a few rules and keep quiet, but I don't see the sacredness because to me it is just a place made of physical materials.

So, I leave the Pantheon to get lunch and find myself eating gelato for lunch. It was my first gelato while being here and will probably be my last. I'm not in to sweets and the only thing worth writing home about for my first experience was that Katy Perry's 'Firework' came on while I began eating #bliss.

We left then to go find the Trevi Fountain. That thing is dope. It's big and all kinds of water. Not my favorite fountain though.

We walk past the Spanish Steps on our way to some park--at this point we've walked a bit. We keep walking. We then find this park. I don't know what to say. This place is by far the most amazing thing I've come across in Rome. It sits on a hill and has an amazing view of Rome. Also, my favorite color is green and it's January so it's hard to come by right now, but this place has green. It has green and is a wonderful way to get away from the city life and just be outside. While, we were there we came across a fountain that is by far my favorite fountain. It looks to be Moses being found in the river as a baby--I could be wrong but I'm almost positive that is what it is.  The part that makes me love it is how it is a man made fountain with creation incorporated into it. #dopeness.

We start walking back home and at this point I am bushwhacked beyond belief. We stop by a Chinese restaurant for dinner and I order a crab meat salad that is imitation crab meat (no problem) that tastes nothing like crab meat (problem). In fact, the meat had no flavor.

We get home and I hit the sack around 8pm and go in and out of detailed dreams that are so realistic they become nightmares. I wake up the next day at 1pm and decide that was the worst sleep I've had here.

Some of what I just said may sound awful or like I'm complaining, but it isn't and I'm not. This is all simply a part of life. And it takes all the parts of life thrown together to make life a whole. #hakunamatata
